About Obinna

Obinna Onwugbene is a highly skilled and certified civil engineer who actively contributes to the regulation of engineering practices in Nigeria. With an illustrious professional journey spanning 24 years, he has adeptly overseen the construction of two state-of-the-art stadiums and spearheaded numerous residential estate development projects across this densely populated West African nation.

In 2017, he embarked on his writing journey by crafting engaging and insightful blog posts for his blog, “The Seed of Greatness.” Two years later, in 2019, he achieved a significant milestone with the publication of his non-fiction book, “Purpose and Habits.” This transformative book offers practical guidance on accomplishing personal goals and fostering positive habits.

Growing up in a civil servant estate, he developed a deep love for reading novels, particularly those by his favorite thriller author, James Hadley Chase. In 2020, he embarked on a personal challenge to venture into the world of fiction writing. This led to the creation of “Poorracourt,” a gripping tale centered around a lonely former cop who finds himself drawn to his trusted female colleague, only to discover that she may have ties to an assassin. Despite initial setbacks, including rejections from 92 agents and publishers, he remained determined and eventually decided to self-publish “Poorracourt” on Amazon. The culmination of this journey came in May 2024, when “Poorracourt” was finally released to the public.

He is currently working on another novel. It’s about an optimistic former cop who comes to the hospital to visit his dying father and discovers from a curious little girl that the city has been attacked with a biological weapon that renders women infertile. The novel is planned for release in the first quarter of 2025.
